The Bridge of Grace

The bridge of grace will bear your weight, brother. Thousands of big sinners have gone across that bridge, yea, tens of thousands have gone over it. Some have been the chief of sinners and some have come at the very last of their days but the arch has never yielded beneath their weight. I will go with them trusting to the same support. It will bear me over as it has for them.

New Series: Why We Do What We Do

whybanner

Have you ever asked the question “Why?” Not the question, “Why is this happening to me right now?” We’ve all asked that one before. I mean the question, “Why do we do what we do?” Why do we do what we do as followers of Jesus and as the church? To answer this important question, we’re going to take our cues from Jesus and some of the parables and stories He shared in the Gospel of Matthew. As we lean in and listen, we’ll discover what Jesus values. We’ll discover what matters most to Him. And in light of what matters most to Jesus, we’ll rediscover why we do what we do.

Here’s the schedule for the series:

March 3 – Why We Seek the Lost (Matthew 18:12-14)

March 10 – Why We Love Grace (Matthew 20:1-16)

March 17 – Why We Do Good Works (Matthew 25: 31-46)

March 24 – Why We Pursue Generosity (Matthew 25:14-30)

Join us at Northshore during the month of March to rediscover why we do what we do in light of what matters most of Jesus.

Check out the Why Series Project page for a chance to share how you have encountered what matters most to Jesus. Participate by picking up a card on Sundays at Northshore and sharing your thoughts with us.
