Day 12 | Risking No Matter the Cost

Read: Esther 4:15–17

Key Verse: …I and my maidens will also fast in the same way. And thus I will go in to the king, which is not according to the law; and if I perish, I perish.  Esther 4:16

Risk taking is scary. Let’s be real — it’s more comfortable to work in places of comfort, to have our routines, and things we “know” how to do. But often God works differently. He will ask things of us that are uncomfortable, risky, and even scary so we will rely upon Him. Perhaps He is asking you to engage your neighbor in conversation (you know the one!), or to go out on mission. It could be a local opportunity serving with Isaiah 58, the Mobile Medical Unit, or even globally to serve the poor overseas.

Are you making excuses? Are you afraid? We have the God of the universe sending us and equipping us. God has placed us just where He wants us to be. You have a choice to take a step in courage, or cower in fear. God is asking — will you take the risk and answer?

Prayer: Father God, I want to be a courageous risk taker! I know that I am Yours and You are calling me to take a step of risk. I want to be like Esther  courageous and bold! Thank you for inviting me to take risks to bring You glory!
